MA DESIGN HELP FSB THROW LIFELINE TO CREDIT CRUNCHED BUSINESS COMMUNITY
The Federation of Small Businesses commissioned a website www.fsbadviceday.org.uk to publicise their credit crunching seminar in Gloucester.
The Gloucestershire and West of England area of the FSB held a day-long advice day at Gloucester Rugby Club’s Kingsholm ground on April 22 2009, consisting of a range of free presentations and a showcase of exhibitors offering advice and information.
To help publicise the event, the FSB commissioned MA Design in Cheltenham to build the website.
The web site is still live www.fsbadviceday.org.uk giving full details of speakers, sponsors, ongoing information on how the event shup and, of course, the ability to register your attendance and book for the free presentations on line.
“It was an ongoing project and the website was updated regularly as new speakers and new sponsors came on board,” said Jason.
Event organiser Dave Middlemiss, chairman of the Stroud Branch of the FSB, and director of PPD Solutions – First Aid and Health & Safety training providers said: “We see the website as an important tool to spread the word about how this seminar is something every business person should try to attend.
“We are bringing together an elite group of business advisors and experts for a completely free one-day, one-stop shop event.
“In the light of the present economic downturn, we wanted to do something positive to help the local business community.
“Advisors were on hand offering advice on all aspects of business from funding, training, communications, tax, getting people back to work, finance and health and safety and much more.
“There was also a number of selected keynote speakers throughout the day and in the evening a social networking event in the club bar.”
Ken Burney, FSB Regional Treasurer and financial consultant at Falcon Group Plc, independent financial advisers, in Cheltenham, added: “This was a great way to find out how best to ride out this recession which is affecting us all – and it was all under one roof.”
Mark Owen, chairman of the Gloucester branch of the FSB and MD of Moose Partnership Marketing PR and Advertising agency, said: “I am delighted we held this event at Gloucester Rugby Club, Kingsholm. It is a fantastic venue with quality conference facilities.
“They have been brilliant in supporting us and we hope that many more businesses will come and support us too.”
